During the height of the Covid-19 lockdown, tourism was pretty much non-existent in New Orleans and many of my wholesale buyers were also trying to wait out the pandemic. I had no customers in the gift shop and no orders to fill! I needed to displace my boredom and nervous energy. That is when Algiers Point Oyster Company was born.
