Coronavirus and my Small but Mighty Business

Coronavirus and my Small but Mighty Business

I knew it was coming and I was prepared.  But somewhere over the last 10 days, it hit me that I went from being a gainfully self-employed person to a homeschooling-stay-at-home-mom...overnight. Never saw that one coming! At the present, I'm kind of temporarily unemployed. My gift shop is closed for the time being. Tourism in New Orleans is non-existent, the state has shut down all non-essential businesses, and I also have a pretty strong desire to socially distance myself. Fortunately, my online store is still open and I am processing online orders as well as wholesale orders daily.

My favorite and most profitable event, Festival International, was cancelled last week.  It is a huge blow to my business, but looking at the big picture, I'm in the same boat as millions of other people.  During these difficult times make sure to support your local small businesses, wash your hands, protect each other, and be kind!
