How It's Made: Enamel Heart Necklaces

How It's Made: Enamel Heart Necklaces

Valentine's Day is just around the corner, so we are whipping up a batch of I Love You Heart Necklaces, as they make the perfect little gift. Have you ever wondered how those stunning enamel heart necklaces are made? Let us take you on a journey through the meticulous and creative process of crafting these beautiful pieces of jewelry.

First, I carefully saw out the heart shapes from sheets of copper using a delicate jewelry saw. This step requires precision and a steady hand to ensure each heart is perfectly formed. After the hearts are cut out, the pointy edges are filed down.

How do we add color?

Next, I sprinkle colorful powdered glass onto the copper hearts, creating a mesmerizing palette of hues. The enamel-coated hearts are then carefully fired with a torch, allowing the powdered glass to melt and fuse with the copper. This process not only adds vibrant colors to the hearts but also creates a durable and long-lasting finish.

And the final touch?

Voilà! Once the enamel process is complete, our artisans skillfully assemble the enamel heart pendants with delicate chains, creating a stunning piece of wearable art that is sure to capture hearts and turn heads wherever it goes.

Each enamel heart necklace is a labor of love, crafted with passion and dedication to bring beauty and joy to those who wear them. The intricate process, from sawing and filing to enameling and assembling, results in a unique piece of jewelry that tells a story of craftsmanship and creativity.

So, the next time you wear an enamel heart necklace, remember the artistry and skill that went into creating it. Embrace the beauty and craftsmanship that make each piece truly special.
